and i was also having the same problem with it that i do with the software that we currently use (laplink), because we have to keep the software running at all times, so if it gets turned off. We used to use go to my pc, but they charge an arm and leg cause we have 12 computers that need to be accessed. and then how does my computer know that it should be talking to my other computer and not to someone elses that just happens to have the same ip address?
So i figured that i have to allow the port through for remote desktop, but then i can only get to one computer (right?).īack to the vpn, does the ip scheme have to be the same, or can one computer (192.168.1.XXX) access another computer with a different ip address (192.168.0.XXX). i am not sure if the ip address i should use is the computer ip address or the router ip address, or the static ip address for the internet, or a combination.
I have tried to set up a vpn, but i am not sure what computer name to use, so i used the ip address.
